This explanation is an answer to dear Muslims of Islam, and aims to peacably show how Muhammad cannot be the ‘Comforter’ which Holy Scripture speaks of in John 14:26 – for the following reasons;
• If we read John 14:26 again, we will see that the Lord Jesus (Isa) Christ says that G-d will send the Comforter to the disciples;
That was about 30 AD perhaps, and Muhammad did not exist until say 570 AD.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. John 14:26 ESV.
This means that the faithful disciples would have died before the Muhammad was born – how could he teach them then? The answer;
• John 14:26 is speaking of G-d blessing His people and teaching them His ways with His Holy Spirit (i.e. power);
And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. (Ezekiel 36:26-27 ESV)
If a person looks at John 14:26 and notices that it says ‘…he shall teach you…’, a person should note that this ‘he’ is an English translation – and according to the Strong’s Concordance and Exhaustive Concordance, the better definitions are;
And thus, the better legal translations of John 14:26 for people to understand are;
‘…it shall teach you…’ (John 14:26)
‘…that [thing] (the Holy Spirit) shall teach you…’ (John 14:26)
Hoping the above, and the following detailed document with neat contents section, will be of help to you;
May the Holy G-d bless you beyond maximum, believing in His risen Son the Lord Jesus Christ (Adonai Yehoshua HaMoshiach). Amen.
