Introduction

There are verses which speak of a believer having testimony that the Gospel is true in themselves;

‘Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself….’
(1 John 5:10 ESV)

This explanation will touch on how this happens.

By looking at the following verse, and also explaining it – we can learn that G-d (ref. John 4:24) gives His Holy Spirit to comfort/help those who believe in Christ, and that this gift actually testifies / acts as evidence that the Gospel is genuinely true, to those of the world from within a believer.

But when the Comforter is come [the Holy Spirit helping you walk in the way of the LORD, Ezekiel 36:26-28], whom I will send unto you from the Father (who is the Spirit of truth) – which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 15:26 KJV [Amended and Explained]

Question:

How does the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) that G-d sends, bear witness about Christ?

Answer:

Briefly, it does so in perhaps a few ways by;

• promoting good deeds (Torah observance) within a believer, or at least the desire to uphold such;

for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
Philippians 2:13 NIV

‘…I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.’
(Ezekiel 36:27 ESV)

‘…the invisible God…’
(Colossians 1:15)

and also by,

• making the state of a believer new, and not just merely natural fallen flesh;

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
Romans 8:6 NIV

They then come across as spiritual, as they are conformed to the image of G-d’s righteous Son, along the way;

‘…those whom he… predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.’
(Romans 8:29 ESV)

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

‘…unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”’
(John 3:3 ESV)

Note: Consulting with occultists, mediums, pagans, and the like, with regard to one’s spiritual state or any other spiritual assignment – is prohibbited by Torah Law;

“‘Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 19:31 NIV.

– With these testimonies that are found within a born again believer, the world will inturn know them by their fruits (Matthew 7:16), and perhaps more importantly that the Gospel of the risen Lord Jesus Christ;

is God’s prescribed, genuine, lovingly gracious way for human beings here to recieve complete forgiveness of sins and everlasting life without end, upon ressurection (ref. John 3:16 KJV).

Perhaps in closing here for now, the following verse will further show the meaning of John 15:26;

“No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.
Luke 11:33 NIV

Shalom, and hoping it is fruitful.

May the Holy G-d bless you beyond maximum, believing in His risen Son the Lord Jesus Christ (Adonai Yehoshua HaMoshiach). Amen.
