A Brief Summary

The blessings that are received by believing in Christ (Messiah) are listed in what is known as the ‘new covenant’ (Jer 31:31, Heb 8:8).

Blessings that are included in the New Covenant are broadly as follows;

Verses Confirming Two Matters

This article will now continue and close with some verses which confirm the following two categories;

  1. Verses which describe what is found within the New Covenant (some as per the above dot points)

and,

  1. Verses that show that Christ (Messiah) is the individual to believe in to receive the blessings of the New Covenant.

Category 1

1) Some Verses describing what is found within the New Covenant

‘… I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah… “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”’
(Jeremiah 31:31, 31:33-34 ESV)

25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. 28 You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God. 29 Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I will not bring a famine on you…,
33 ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places will be rebuilt.’
(Ezekiel 36:25-29, 36:33 NASB)

‘…I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.
9 It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord. 10 This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 11 No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. 12 For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”’
(Hebrews 8:8-12 NIV)

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

‘…he that believeth shall not make haste.
(Isaiah 28:16 KJV)
&
‘…Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
(John 3:16 KJV)

2) Some Verses that show that Christ (Messiah) is the individual to believe in for the New Covenant and it’s blessings;

‘…I will give you as a covenant for the people…’
(Isaiah 42:6 ESV)
&
‘…I will keep you and give you as a covenant to the people…’
(Isaiah 49:8 ESV)

therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’
Isaiah 28:16 ESV
&
built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,
Ephesians 2:20 ESV

and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”
Genesis 22:18 NIV
&
Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, “And to offsprings,” referring to many, but referring to one, “And to your offspring,” who is Christ.
Galatians 3:16 ESV

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
&
‘…our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. 16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.’
(Galatians 6:14-16 KJV)

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; I will… put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
(Deuteronomy 18:15, 18-19 KJV)
&
‘…Believe in God; believe also in me.’
(John 14:1 ESV)
&
‘Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong…’
(Isaiah 28:22 KJV)

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:14-16 KJV

Whilst more could be expanded on with regard to this topic, for the sake of this brief summary perhaps it would be best to address other finer matters at another time, G-d willing.

May the holy God bless you beyond maximum; believing in His risen Son the Lord Jesus Christ (Adonai Yehoshua HaMoshiach). Amen (Omayn).
