There Is No trinity – John 1:1

Introduction

This simple explanation of Holy Scripture is submitted civilly and out of love.

It aims to show how Scripture states that G-d is not a man or a son of man, and thus how King Jesus (Yehoshua) cannot be G-d as he is known as both a man and the son of man, who G-d created.

John 1:1 is thus explained contextually.

Begin

With regard to John 1:1, we could perhaps touch upon linguistic word rules and the like – however, here for sake of simplicity; we will rely upon the context of the fuller scope of Holy Scripture.

Let’s quickly see two different translations for this verse – the first being the KJV which we will see to be an inaccurate English translation in this instance, and then we will read a clearer translation.

Two Interpretations;

KJV
The KJV is one of the most known translations of John 1:1 – it reads as follows;

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Clearer Translation
The clearer translation can be comparable in this particular instance to the published NWT translation, and it reads as follows;

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.

Here when the verse speaks of the ‘Word’ being ‘a god’, the little letter lowercase ‘g’ represents a created spirit-type being, and not the uncreated Creator of all things, the Father (God).

This correct monotheistic-modelled interpretation can actially be arrived at by reconciling the fuller scope of Holy Scripture.

Verses such as;

‘…God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man…’
(Numbers 23:19 ESV)

‘…I am God and not a man…’
(Hosea 11:9 ESV)

and even 1 Samuel 15:29;

‘…the Glory of Israel… he is not a man…’
(1 Samuel 15:29 ESV)

all read along the lines of;

G-d is ‘not a man’, ‘human’, or a ‘son of man’, and assists us in learning more about G-d, and how to think when referring to Him, blessed is He.

With this, we have been given other key verses which then describe Christ (Messiah) as actually being; a ‘man’, and the ‘son of man’ – such as;

‘…the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.’
(John 3:14-15 ESV)

and,

‘The times of ignorance God overlooked… he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed… raising him from the dead.”’
(Acts 17:30-31 ESV)

and the like.

‘…the scripture cannot be broken…’
(John 10:35 KJV).

There other verses which could be visited to explore this matter. However, for sake of brevity such other Scriptures can perhaps be addressed in other explanations of Holy Scripture, God willing.
